Dr Anil Kumar Taneja

Dr Anil Taneja is a Consultant Cardiologist specialising in stroke prevention, hypertension, arrthymia and general cardiology. With over a decades of experience in cardiology, Anil leads the Clinical Governance group for the Cardiology department at Whipps Cross Hospital and also has interest in heart failures, breathlessness and chest pains. Dr Taneja also holds appointments as regional speciality advisor for Oxford, panel member of the British cardiac society and paces MRCP Examiner of the Royal College of Physicians

Anil gained his medical qualifications from Oxford University in 1999 and went on to complete his specialist training in Cambridgeshire. He also went on to complete his postgraduate qualifications at Imperial College, including a MD in heart failure and a MSc in cardiology. After his specialist training, he gained fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians and the European Society of Cardiologists. In addition to this, Anil has given several talks regarding Cardiology with international societies and has published various peer reviewed articles, showing his dedication to the field. Anil is accredited in echocardiography and cardiac CT angiography.
