Dr. Trevor Brooklyn

Dr Trevor Brooklyn is an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist with specialist expertise in gastrointestinal and liver diseases. His clinical interests include irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, dyspepsia including indigestion and acid reflux, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhoea and the investigation of abnormal liver function tests.

Dr Brooklyn is an accredited Bowel Cancer Screening colonoscopist and also serves as an examiner within the National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme, assessing consultants seeking accreditation as bowel cancer screening specialists. He has extensive expertise in therapeutic endoscopy and performs a wide range of advanced diagnostic and interventional procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP and flexible sigmoidoscopy.

His colonoscopy performance data demonstrate consistently high standards, including excellent completion rates, strong polyp detection rates and positive patient comfort scores. He is the Clinical Lead for Endoscopy at both Cheltenham General Hospital and Cheltenham Nuffield Hospital.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Brooklyn is actively involved in regional endoscopy leadership. He represents Gloucestershire within the South West Endoscopy Network and is joint lead for ERCP within the South West ERCP Network, contributing to service development, quality improvement and specialist training across the region.
