Dr Tee Wei Siah

Dr Tee Wei Siah is a UK trained Consultant Dermatologist that specialises in conditions affecting the hair and scalp. She also offers medical advice on a wide variety of dermatological conditions, including acne, eczema, mole checks, skin cancer and wrinkles. She is currently based with the West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust.

She was trained in both medical and surgical treatment of hair loss by the infamous hair dermatologist, Professor Jerry Shapiro, whilst completing a Clinical Fellowship in Hair and Scalp Disorders at the Dermatology Department of University of British Columbia. As a clinical fellow, she shadowed Dr Kevin McElwee, an Assistant Professor that specialises in hair research, and conducted a research project exploring the role of specialised cells in the body in the development of Androgenetic alopecia. Dr Siah was awarded North American Hair Research Society mentorship in 2014 and was mentored by leading experts in the field of dermatology, including Dr Leonard Sperling at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences – a Professor of Dermatology and Pathology.

Additionally, she has presented at national and international conferences and has been published in peer-reviewed journals. She is also a member of the British Association of Dermatologists as well as the American Hair Research Society.
