Professor Sotirios Bisdas

Dr Bisdas is Consultant Neuroradiologist and MRI lead in the Department of Neuroradiology at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and the University College Hospitals NHS Trust. He is Professor of Neuroradiology and Radiology at the University College London and University of Tübingen, Germany. He has completed a post-doctoral scholarship in Neuroradiology research and holds an MSc degree in Advanced Oncology and postgraduate diploma in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. His expertise fields include advanced CT, intraoperative MRI, advanced and functional MRI and molecular MR-PET imaging in brain diseases. Dr Bisdas is also performing medicolegal work on brain and spine diseases.

He is Fellow of the European Society of Head and Neck Radiology, the European Society of Neuroradiology, and the British Society of Head and Neck Radiology.

He has authored over 160 peer reviewed publications and 10 book chapters. He serves as a member of editorial board of several leading journals in Radiology and Neuroradiology and is a reviewer for leading journals in Neuroimaging. He has been awarded by British, European and American professional bodies and the industry for his pioneering research in brain and spinal tumour imaging and has been principal and chief investigator in clinical imaging trials attracting more than £1 million in intramural and external funding.
