From the moment I met Sam i was put at ease, once the first x-rays were taken he was very clear on what was needed and best way forward in achieving the best results, towards the operation date my knee had become unbearable and I couldn't walk without an aid, once the operation had been carried out it has been nothing short of life changing for me, and one year after the operation i am in the best condition for years and owe this to Sam.

I stayed awake throughout the procedure which was interesting. Both Mr Yasen and the anesthetist were friendly and helpful as to the procedure. All went as planned and I was well looked after in the clinic, with one overnight stay.

As a nurse I was so impressed with Sam’s approach and how my 17 year old son M was assessed and treated in terms of a meniscus repair. The options for treatment and expected outcomes were explained clearly with realistic examples being given to our son who is a Bath RFC Academy player. The rehabilitation options and timescales were also clearly explained with M being involved in decision making. A great experience and I and M’s mum who is an Occupational Therapist, would have no hesitation in recommending Sam as an orthopaedic surgeon as our first choice.

I have had a full hip and Knee replacement in 2025 and Mr Yasen completely changed my life . Reassuring me and kindmess and compassion given, and through every visit and giving me my life back after such severe pain. I have had my yearly follow up visits with him for both replacements this year

I cannot recommend Mr. Yasen enough. Over the course of my treatment, he performed an osteotomy, followed by metalwork removal and the removal of loose bone fragments. From my very first consultation through to my recovery, the level of care I received was exceptional. I was absolutely terrified about having such major surgery, but he took the time to explain every step of the process, answer all of my questions, and reassure me throughout. He never made me feel rushed, and it was always clear how much he genuinely cared about both his work and me as his patient. Thanks to his expertise, this is the best my knee has felt in four years. I only wish I'd found him sooner. He has genuinely changed my life, and I will always be incredibly grateful for the care and support he has given me.

I came to see Dr Yasen after a rugby injury affecting my left knee. I felt like I was in the best hands from the start. Everything was explained so clearly and calmly with any question or query I had answered.

I was personally recommended to see Mr Sam Yasen for a second opinion. A few years following a previous meniscus repair surgery, I was struggling to make a full recovery and still experiencing pain. I felt confident when meeting Mr Yasen that my situation would improve. After further investigations with injections and MRI scans, I had another meniscus repair & partial meniscectomy. Discussions regarding my knee operation were always communicated clearly. My early recovery post-op is going well and I feel positive in the care of Mr Yasen.
