Dr Rohan Mehta

Dr Rohan Mehta is a Consultant in Respiratory and General Medicine with over two decades of experience in specialist practice. He graduated from the University of Edinburgh School of Medicine in 1992 and completed his general medical training in the Newcastle region. He then undertook specialist training in respiratory medicine in Wales, entering the Specialist Register in 2002 with accreditation in both General and Respiratory Medicine.

Following completion of training, Dr Mehta was appointed to his first consultant post in Bridgend, South Wales, where he worked for 12 years. In September 2014, he relocated to Wiltshire and has since been a Consultant Respiratory and General Physician at Salisbury District Hospital.

Dr Mehta’s clinical practice encompasses a broad range of respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, lung cancer, sleep apnoea, pulmonary fibrosis, bronchiectasis, tuberculosis, and asbestos-related and occupational lung diseases. He provides assessment, investigation, and long-term management for patients with both acute and chronic respiratory disorders.

He has been a member of the Royal College of Physicians since 1996 and was elected as a Fellow in 2008 (FRCP). Dr Mehta is also a member of the British Thoracic Society, British Sleep Society, British Medical Association, and Medical Defence Union.
