Dr Ray Shidrawi

Dr Ray Shidrawi is a Consultant Gastroenterologist with over three decades of experience in the treatment and management of G.I conditions, including inflammatory bowel diseases, coeliac disease and food intolerances. He is also well versed in techniques such as upper GI endoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound, percutaneous endoscopic gastronomy intersection, and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. He sees private patients at Lanserhof at The Arts Club and The Wellington Hospital.

Dr. Shidrawi earned his primary medical qualification at the University of London in 1987, after which he completed his basic and specialist training, and joined the specialist register in 1998. He has since practiced at Homerton University Hospital, where he undertakes many endoscopic treatments for bariatric surgical complications in addition to non-invasive procedures to manage obesity. Dr. Shidrawi has also established a Ketogenic Enteral Nutrition diet in the UK with help from his prior colleagues at La Sapienza University, Rome.

Dr. Shidrawi is also an active member of the scientific research community, authoring many peer-reviewed publications regarding nutrition, coeliac disease, and endoscopy in renowned clinical journals.
