Dr Paul Anthony Broadhurst

Dr Paul Broadhurst is an experienced general Cardiologist and nationally recognised expert in rhythm disturbances of the heart (electrophysiologist). He was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at Borders General Hospital/Edinburgh Royal Infirmary in 1997-2002, before taking up his current post as Consultant Cardiologist at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Aberdeen.

Dr Broadhurstqualified in 1983 from the University of Dundee. He trained in internal medicine in various hospitals in Tayside and has been a Research Fellow in Cardiology at Northwick Park Hospital from 1987-1990. Thereafter he became Registrar and Senior Registrar at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London from 1990-97.

His work is widely published with over 100 publications. He is a member of various national and government committees and is the Secretary of the Scottish Cardiac Society.
