Dr Heck was patient in his analysis; clear in his explanation and caring in his proposed treatment. I thank him for his expertise and feel thankful to be in his care.

I was admitted to the Royal Papworth for Cardiac Ablation as a day patient , expecting a stay of approximately 8 hours. On my arrival I found the nurses well prepared, friendly and efficient and Dr Heck paid a short visit before I was taken for my procedure on time. As I had my Ablation under general anaesthetic I have no real memories of it except feeling cold on my arrival in The Catheter Lab. I woke up in recovery 2:30 hour later. Back in my room I continued my recovery , pretty much “text book” except for a small bleed from “ the entry wound and a pressure bandage was applied Dr. Heck came for another short visit to let me know that my procedure had gone as planned which was reassuring and my discharge home only delayed by a few hours. I felt very privileged to have been treated at The Royal Papworth by Dr. Heck and his team.

My appointment with Dr. Heck was very informative and reassuring with my arrhythmia issues. He made me feel very relaxed during the appointment and was very knowledgeable. The communication with Dr. Heck’s secretary was first class answering any queries. Thank you for everything and I won’t hesitate to contact you again if I have any further issues. Dr Heck listened attentively throughout the consultation and provided me with the opportunity to ask any questions I had. The appointment was unhurried and conducted with the utmost care, professionalism, and attention to detail.

I have received clear explanation of issues and have felt fully involved in deciding between treatment options. My most recent visits were follow-up consultations in August and November 2025.
