Dr Matthew G D Bates is a highly qualified Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist who provides comprehensive cardiovascular care. He focuses on diagnosing and managing a wide spectrum of heart conditions, with specialist expertise in heart rhythm disorders. Dr Bates earned his Bachelor of Science with Honours (BSc Hons) and his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honours (MB ChB Hons) from the University of Edinburgh. He subsequently completed a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD), a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Research at Newcastle University.
