I was very pleased with the time Dr. Maiden took to explain what tests and procedures were recommended in my situation and why, and then also his attention to detail in reviewing the results with me and suggesting further treatments.

Maybe a bit rushed in the hospital. Not certain subsequent letter was entirely accurate.

It was just like having a face to face in person meeting but without all the travel and in the comfort of my own home.

I consulted Dr Maiden about longstanding and worsening gut issues. I had previously undergone numerous invasive and uncomfortable investigative procedures, and courses of treatment, none of which had proven helpful. However, following a single 10-minute telephone consultation Dr Maiden provided a surprisingly simple explanation, diagnosis and course of treatment. Nevertheless, this provided very rapid relief from my very distracting symptoms, and I am now functioning normally for the first time in nearly 20 years.

Dr Maiden was extremely helpful, caring and kind. His bedside manner was calm and professional and he was very empathetic. He went out of his way to accommodate my healthcare requirements as quickly as possible, and has kept me fully informed at all times. I am very grateful for the care that I received and would not hesitate to recommend him to anybody else.

Dr Laurence Maiden was very kind, friendly and it was easy to talk to him. During my first consultation Dr Maiden was very thorough and we had a long conversation about my symptoms. Dr Maiden explained to me in detail what he think might be the problem and suggested a colonoscopy. He explained the procedure to me. We also discussed my high blood pressure and high cholosterol. On the day of the procedure Dr Maiden explained to me in detail the risks of the procedure. During the procedure I was in a lot of pain and Dr Maiden explained to me why I was experiencing some pain and suggested to one of his colleagues to press down on my tummy to ease the pain. After the procedure Dr Maiden explained to me his findings. He showed me some photographs of the inside of my colon, to support his findings. The photographs helped me to understand what he was talking about. He explained to me that my condition can not be fixed by an operation and suggested that I try and change my diet and eat more fruit and vegetables. I have contacted Dr Maiden via email since the procedure, asking him for advice how to control my pain levels. His feedback was helpful.

Dr Maiden took the time to answer all my questions about my ailment and to set my mind at ease about the procedure I was to undergo. During the procedure he was kind and aware of my obvious discomfort and afterwards clearly explained the results and advised me on what to do in the future. In our follow up he answered the further questions I had to my complete satisfaction and responded to my request to recommend a nutritionist in a timely manner.
