All of my interactions with Dr Laurence Maiden were excellent including FaceTime video, telephone calls and face to face. He took the time out on every occasion to express empathy, carry out all of the required investigations and go on to explain all of the results in full.

I was very happy with my experience with Dr Maiden. He explained the procedure clearly and was very reassuring before and during my hospital visit. It was good to have a follow-up appointment today as I had done some research about my condition following the endoscopy and had a few queries which he was able to answer..

Every time I have spoken to Dr. Maiden, he has been lovely and explained everything very clearly, allowing me to feel confident in my own understanding of what he thinks is going on. With regards to the tests I had to do, I chose to do these at my GP and they complained that there was no form attached to my consultation letter for said tests so this added time and hassle on as I had to call them multiple times/visit them on several separate occasions to try and sort this out. This may have been an error on their part but Dr. Maiden (as well as his PA/secretary) did inform me that the forms would be on that letter and they weren't. Overall though, everything else has been incredibly helpful and these issues were more admin-based that anything to do with medical knowledge/care etc.

Have a clear explanation of my condition as well as being sympathetic. He allowed me the time to ask any questions which was much appreciated.

Dr Maiden took his time to explain everything clearly and I was overall pleased with his suggestions to help improve my symptoms and referral going forward
