Dr Katie Lacy

Dr Katie Lacy is a Consultant Dermatologist specialising in skin cancer, melanoma, moles, skin imaging with mole mapping and skin cancer genetics. She also sees patients over 18 for all general dermatological skin conditions. She trained in medicine at Pembroke College Oxford (where she was awarded a first class degree in Natural Sciences) and the Royal Free Hospital. She trained as a Dermatologist in Bristol and has been a GMC certified Dermatologist since 2008.

She was a Consultant Dermatologist at the St Johns Institute of Dermatology at Guys and St. Thomas’ Hospital for 12 years where she was the Melanoma clinic lead and then subsequently overall clinical lead for skin cancer and the chair for the skin cancer South East London Cancer Alliance. In addition to Dermatology clinics she also undertook a regional skin cancer genetics clinic at Guys Hospital.  Whilst at the St John’s
Institute of Dermatology she set up a specialist clinic for patients at high
risk for development of melanoma with multiple moles and the dysplastic naevus
syndrome. She now works at One Welbeck Skin Health and Allergy where she continues to work with patients with multiple moles using the advanced Canfield VECTRA 3D mole mapping imaging system.

Whilst undertaking her Dermatology training she also undertook a PhD in skin immunology at University College, London. She has remained active in research
throughout her clinical career and was awarded a Reader position at Kings College London whilst running research projects investigating melanoma immunology on which she has published in prestigious peer reviewed journals. She has presented her work at
national and international meetings.
