Dr. Kwan has many years of training and experience in all aspects of stroke, rehabilitation, and ageing. He qualified from the Universities of Bristol (Medicine 1994), Southampton (MPhil 2000), Edinburgh (MD 2002), University College London Institute of Neurology at Queens Square (PG Certificate in Clinical Neurology with distinction 2006), Cornell University (Plant-based Nutrition 2015) and University of California San Francisco (Dementia Scholarship 2015). Dr. Kwan has been working as a stroke consultant since 2006 and served as the regional medical director for the stroke network before working abroad as a clinical associate professor in Hong Kong. He is now back working at Imperial College London as a senior stroke consultant, head of original stroke research, and medical educator. Dr. Kwan is happy to accept referrals related to all aspects of stroke, rehabilitation, and ageing-related issues. During personalised consultations, he provides patients with advice on risk factor control, future prognosis, frailty avoidance, medicine management, and healthy ageing using the latest advancements in medicine to enhance recovery. Besides treatment, he also believes that empowerment through lifestyle changes optimal nutrition, and fitness training can improve the well-being of your mind, body and spirit.
