About Dr Ian Smith

Dr Ian Smith is a Consultant in Clinical Neurophysiology. He qualified in Medicine from Cambridge University in 1973 and has more than 30 years of experience. He is currently working for The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He has a particular interest in peripheral nerve disorders, including Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, cervical and lumbar radiculopathy, peripheral nerve entrapment and ulnar neuropathy. He leads a team of neurophysiology technicians who can perform Electroencephalograms (EEGs), which are brain wave tests to detect the disorder Epilepsy.
