I decided to go to Spire and Dr Schmoll as I wanted to have a consultant led service to ensure I was managed by a doctor throughout. This is important to me as I had a number of questions I wanted to discuss directly with the physician who would perform the procedure. I was very glad I did. Right from the beginning I found all staff and Dr Schmoll to be very welcoming and my concerns were listened to. Dr Schmoll explained the process and potential issues clearly to me and took the time to discuss the different lens types available so I could select the best one for me. The date for my procedure was arranged promptly which was important as I already had a holiday booked for later in the year. I was very pleasantly surprised with how quick and painless the whole cataract removal/lens replacement was. I even noticed a huge improvement in my vision later the same evening after discharge. Dr Schmoll followed up by phone a few days afterwards to ensure all was going to plan. I had my follow up clinic appt around a month later. I am very pleased with the outcome. I know where to go if I experience any future eye problems. Thank you, Conrad, and team.

Dr Schmoll is an excellent surgeon and a great human being. I was extremely anxious about having cataract surgery and also worried about how I would cope with it because of other health issues I have. I decided to consult Dr Schmoll and am very glad I did so. His calm, friendly, approachable manner and willingness to discuss my concerns helped me enormously. On the days of both my surgeries, I felt very unwell but Dr Schmoll gave me the confidence to go ahead. During the surgeries, Dr Schmoll was very calm and reassuring and I felt safe in his hands throughout. At my follow up appointments, he was very thorough and also provided prompt aftercare when I needed it. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Dr Schmoll to anyone considering cataract surgery.
