Both meetings with Dr Thom have been excellent with good bedside manner. Explained why he was doing things and what was there purpose. Some for the results showed the scan results and where there were issues and what would help going forward. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone with potential memory loss or similar problems.

The experience with Dr Thom was excellent. I had attended the ED and SDEC departments at Medway Hospital and seen six Doctors during those visits. All these Doctors were friendly and at the time I thought thorough in their examinations, but none of them could diagnose my problem. A annual blood test had shown my CRP level to be high so my GP, whom I have actually never met in person, referred me to SDEC unit and despite having numerous blood tests, an abdominal ultrasound and a CT of the chest , abdomen and pelvis they could not diagnose my problem. I tried this and went around in circles until I spoke to a helpful lady in the Imaging department. She said she could not talk to me about my results, but suggested I contacted my GP surgery and got them to chase the results. Over the next few weeks I went into the surgery and asked if the results were back, but nothing. Finally in late September the GP receptionist emailed the Imaging department at Medway Hospital. She phoned me that evening and said the results had been sent to the GP surgery at Court View, Darnley Road, Strood and that they were now with the GP. She said that I should go into the surgery the next week. I did this and asked if the results were clear . The receptionist said the results were with the GP. I asked when he was likely to look at them as it was now well over 6 weeks since the scan, she said she did not know and that if all was clear I would not hear f...
