About Dr Christopher Roughley
Dr Roughley prides himself as a General Practitioner with excellence in true holistic care,
founded in evidence based medicine but with a keen understanding of the individual. Dr Roughley attended Warwick University for a Bachelors degree in Medical Microbiology and Virology before embarking on his medical degree, also at Warwick University. Dr Roughley has worked within the NHS for several years and within the private sector in Urgent Care facilities. He has also run an NHS minor surgery clinic within his practice.
Dr Roughley has been cultivating a specialist interest in Palliative Care, working within the hospice sector for much of his life as a qualified GP. Caring for a person at their most vulnerable time requires finesse and great compassion. Currently he works part time in a South London hospice.
He is a qualified acupuncturist (Western style). This highlights his drive to meet the needs of his patients, explore all treatment options and individualise his medicine.
As a father, husband and doctor he understands how to navigate complex and demanding lives. He still finds time to enjoy good food, theatre and family time. He looks forward to sharing and supporting your journey through life.

My visit for health assessment from start to finish was faultless. Dr Roughley provided a very comfortable environment to discuss any health queries. Also, he took the time to clearly explain the outcome /result of the examination. I really appreciated Dr Roughley's professionalism and approach with the way he reviewed my results and the practical advise / referral for maintaining my health whilst giving room for questions to be asked. Thank you so much.

I’m so glad to have found Dr Roughley via Cleveland Clinic. I feel it’s quite rare these days to find a GP who listens well, is efficient, effective and compassionate. He truly listens and addresses your concerns, starts where the patient is and offers his objective expert knowledge to guide your care. He is also personable and easy to speak with.
