Dr Andrew Stewart

The career of Dr Andrew Stewart began after graduating from Aberdeen University. After that, he proceeded to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for his medical rotation and ended up being a Member of the Royal College of Physicians when he passed his professional postgraduate exams. He became a Research Registrar at Kings College, London and he was able to complete a PhD in the area of cardiovascular medicine during the period. Dr Andrew Stewart returned to Aberdeen for specialist training in Cardiology and he secured a year Interventional Fellowship in Nova Scotia, Canada where he further developed his skills in coronary intervention. After that, he took up his current NHS job as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist based in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. He is also involved in the training of medical students as well as trainee doctors in the department.
