About Dr Amit Pawa
Dr Amit Pawa is a Consultant Anaesthetist at Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, London, U.K. He has a keen interest in Ultrasound Regional Anaesthesia (USRA) and completed the first fellowship in Regional Anaesthesia at Guy's & St Thomas'. Dr Pawa holds the ESRA European Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia. At Guy's & St Thomas', he is responsible for overseeing all regional anaesthesia procedures.
Dr Pawa was appointed as the first chairman of the London Society for Regional Anaesthesia (LSORA) in October 2010. Presently, he is Immediate Past President of RA-U.K.(Regional Anasthesia-United Kingdom), having served as its President from May 2018 to May 2021. Moreover, during this time period he also sat on the council of European Society of Regional Anasthesia(ESRA). Dr Pawa enjoys teaching about USRA both nationally and internationally through various outlets such as social media platforms and Youtube videos series called "Ultrasound Regional Anesthesa Video Tutorials." His areas of clinical expertise include upper limb orthopedic surgeries , trauma surgery related to plastics, foot and ankle surgery , breast cancer surgery including reconstructive breast surgeries.
