Dr Amarjit Sethi

I habe been a Consultant Cardiologist at Ealing

Hospital and Imperial College NHS Trust, Hammersmith Hospital for nearly 20 years and have achieved Clinical Excellence Awards for my high quality service. I perform coronary angiography and coronary angioplasty by both femoral and radial routes, and insertion of permanent pacemakers. I also treat patients with acute heart

attacks at the Hammersmith Hospital as part of the primary angioplasty service

and have a special interest in CT coronary angiography allowing imaging of

coronary artery disease non-invasively.

My medical studies were at the United Medical and Dental schools of Guy's and St. Thomas' where I qualified with BSc. Hons in Immunology and prizes in Medicine, Pharmacology and Immunology.

I was awarded Masters of Business Administration achieving merit in Strategy and Creativity, Innovation and Change.

My PhD thesis was on

the Mechanisms and Modulation of Vascular cell dysfunction at the William

Harvey Research Institute, Queen Mary University of London. This research

has been published and presented at the American Heart Association's

Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology meeting and the European Society

of Cardiology. My other research interests are in acute coronary

syndromes presented at the European Society of Cardiology and recent

publications include the physiological assessment of coronary artery disease and the use of CT coronary angiography in the assessment of chest pain.
