Dr Ahmed Yousseif joined St Peter's and Ashford Hospital in 2013 as a substantive Consultant in Endocrinology and Diabetes. He is the medical lead for Diabetes Foot Complex MDT and Tier 4 Bariatric Services, as well as the clinical lead for the Acute Medical Service. He has also been a Substantive Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology and the Clinical Lead for the Royal Free London Complex Diabetes Foot Services since 2017.
Dr Yousseif is an expert in Complex Diabetes, Diabetes Foot Disease, weight management, and Bariatric Medicine. He also has clinical experience in all aspects of diabetes and endocrinology in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr Yousseif joined the Royal College of Physicians in 2002. He then completed his specialist registrar training in diabetes and endocrinology at the University College London Hospital (UCLH) as part of the London Deanery's Specialist Registrar rotation programme.
He also spent three years at the UCLH Centre for Weight Loss, Metabolic & Endocrine Surgery, undertaking a PhD in Obesity and Bariatrics, with his research findings being published in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr Yousseif is an incredible doctor. Having spent 13+ years under countless doctors, it takes a lot to impress me. Dr Yousseif is kind, caring, determined to help, notices things other doctors miss, and works so hard to ensure my quality of life is the best it can be. He is highly intelligent and thorough, patiently listens to my many questions and will collaborate with other specialists when he feels the matter requires different expertise. That alone is a rare quality seen in only the best clinicians - ones who are very self-aware and put the patient's needs above their ego. He is a rare gem, and I personally would willingly put my life in his very capable medical hands.

Dr. Yousseif was the consultant on my case and is one of the best doctors and diagnosticians I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He continued to look for the cause of my illness and I always felt I was in very good hands. He ensured to explain any findings and next steps as well as his thinking throughout the time I was there. He was patient and showed great empathy in answering any of my questions. Dr. Yousseif also ensured to keep my family up to date. I am very grateful to have had such an outstanding doctor looking after me and getting me better. I would highly recommend him.

Dr Yousseif has been my consultant in London since 2018 when he rescued me from a severe sepsis caused by a pneumonia undiagnosed by two Marylebone private GPs. I’m more than grateful to dr Yousseif for his competence and his humanity.
