Dr Ahmed Abdullah

Dr Ahmed Abdullah is a dentist specialising in paediatric dentistry and orthodontics.

Dr Abdullah completed his undergraduate training in 1996 and went on to gain 6 years of experience working as a general dental practitioner. Dr Abdullah trained in paediatric dentistry at Leeds Dental Institute and achieved a masters degree in Dental Sciences in Paediatric Dentistry in 2004. In the same year, he became a member of the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry. He later became a member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Paediatric Dentistry. In 2009, Dr Abdullah completed a PhD in dentistry, focusing on tooth erosion.

Dr Abdullah has a special interest in education and he was a clinical tutor in Paediatric Dentistry at Leeds Dental Institute. He also completed a Certificate in Education and was awarded Associate Fellow status by the Academy of Higher Education. Dr Abdullah was also a clinical lecturer in Orthodontics at the University of Bristol.

Dr Abdullah has a special interest in restorative and minor-surgical treatment for patients under the age of 16. He is particularly interested in providing care for children who are anxious about dental treatment and he has a passion for helping them accept dental care and alleviating their worries. Dr Abdullah also has a special interest in adult and paediatric orthodontics.

Dr Abdullah has published several research articles in peer-reviewed journals and he is on the review panels of journals including the Archives of Paediatric Dentistry, the International Journal of Paediatric Dentistry and the Archives of Oral Biology.
