Dr Donald MacGregor

Dr Donald MacGregor is a dedicated Consultant Paediatrician who provides compassionate, patient-centred healthcare for infants, children, and young people. Operating with an objective and reassuring clinical approach, he is committed to diagnosing and managing a wide range of childhood health conditions while delivering clear, supportive guidance to families throughout every stage of a child's growth and development.

Dr MacGregor earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of St Andrews in 1978 before graduating with his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Manchester in 1981. His extensive postgraduate medical training encompasses specialist roles, including House Officer, Senior House Officer, Medical Registrar, and Paediatric Registrar across tertiary teaching hospitals and dedicated children's facilities. He further expanded his clinical expertise internationally through appointments as a Senior Paediatrician in Papua New Guinea and as a Research Fellow in Canada. Dr MacGregor holds professional fellowships with the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.

In his role as a Consultant Paediatrician and Senior Lecturer, Dr MacGregor maintains a strong clinical focus on paediatric respiratory conditions, specialising in the assessment and treatment of paediatric asthma, chronic cough, and allergic disorders. His clinical interests also extend to paediatric dermatology, where he provides guidance on managing chronic skin conditions using topical regimes such as emollient therapies. Additionally, Dr MacGregor has led clinical initiatives in unscheduled paediatric care, integrating telemedicine and video consultation tools to support rapid clinical assessment for acute childhood conditions.

Dedicated to advancing medical knowledge and clinical standards, Dr MacGregor actively participates in child health research and academic education.
