About Dr Doddaiah Hanumantharaya
Mr Doddaiah Kadirehally Hanumantharaya is a Consultant Gastroenterologist with many years of experience in the management of gastroenterology diseases with a special interest in liver and pancreas related diseases. His clinical interests include liver diseases, pancreatic cancer, acid reflux, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, gallstones and gastro-intestinal bleeding. In addition to the services he provides at Benenden Hospital, he also works with the NHS, having been a Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust since 2016.
Mr Hanumantharaya gained his medical degree in 1996 from the University of Mysore in India. After completing training at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital and the University College Hospital in London, he qualified as a Gastroenterologist in 2004, subsequently completing a fellowship in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary medicince and advanced therapeutic endoscopy training at the Royal Free and University College Hospitals in London.
Mr Hanumantharaya is also a GMC recognised trainer and is widely published in peer reviewed publications on various topics in general gastroenterology, hepatology and pancreatology.
