Mr Dimitrios Giotikas

Mr. Dimitrios Giotikas, a consultant surgeon in trauma and orthopaedics, practices in London, UK, and Athens, Greece. With a specialisation in limb lengthening, bone infection management, non-unions, limb deformities, knee surgery, complex orthopaedic trauma, and stature increase treatment, he has earned recognition for his expertise in the field.

In the UK, Mr. Giotikas has conducted private practice at 10 Harley Street (Consulting Rooms) and Woodlands Surgery from 2012 to 2019. He has also served the NHS full-time in trusts such as Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Even after leaving his NHS role, he maintained an honorary consultant post at Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for clinical research until 2020.

Mr. Giotikas graduated from the Military Medical Academy of the Greek Army and the Medical School of Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki in Greece. Commencing as a medical officer in the Hellenic Army, he later specialised in trauma and orthopaedic surgery, earning qualification in 2008. He then pursued sub-specialisation training in complex trauma and limb reconstruction at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

In 2013, Mr. Giotikas attained membership of the Hellenic College of Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeons, followed by the completion of his PhD from the Medical School of University of Thessaly, Greece, in 2016.

Mr. Giotikas was appointed as an honorary senior clinical lecturer at the Faculty of Medical Science at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge in 2017. He also served as a tutor at the Medical School of Cambridge University from 2014 to 2018 and conducted tutoring for international specialty training trauma courses in Yangon, Myanmar. He is affiliated with esteemed professional bodies such as the British Orthopaedic Association, British Medical Association, British Limb Reconstruction Society, Hellenic College of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Hellenic Association of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology, and AO Trauma International.
