Dr Devjit Srivastava

Dr Devjit Srivastava is a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine who provides comprehensive anaesthetic care alongside specialised chronic pain management. He takes an objective and reassuring approach to patient care, focusing on precision diagnosis and personalised treatment plans. Dr Srivastava works closely with patients to address complex pain conditions, integrating medical management, physical therapy, targeted interventional procedures, and psychological support to help individuals achieve optimal symptom relief and regain functional independence.

Dr Srivastava graduated in Medicine in 1991 before completing his MD in Anaesthesiology at the Armed Forces Medical College in 2000. He subsequently undertook higher specialist training in Anaesthetics across the Sheffield and Belfast deaneries, followed by advanced fellowship training in Pain Medicine as a Macmillan Fellow at The Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery. He also holds a Master's degree in Pain Medicine from Cardiff University. Dr Srivastava is a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and a Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine. His professional memberships include the British Pain Society and the International Association for the Study of Pain.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Srivastava is active in clinical research, medical education, and national healthcare quality improvement. His research interests include neuropathic pain, acute perioperative pain, and innovative approaches such as virtual reality immersive therapy to reduce surgical anxiety and pain. He has held key committee and leadership roles within national pain organisations, contributing to the development of national gold standards for pain services and steering clinical education programmes. Dr Srivastava remains dedicated to advancing evidence-based care to improve patient outcomes and well-being.
