Dr Derek Thomas Connelly is a highly regarded Consultant Cardiologist who specialises in the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular conditions, with a primary focus on heart rhythm disorders. Dedicated to delivering patient-centred and reassuring care, he works collaboratively with individuals to assess their cardiac health and formulate tailored treatment strategies. Dr Thomas Connelly earned his medical degree from the University of Glasgow, qualifying in 1984. Following his graduation, he completed postgraduate training in general medicine and Cardiology, alongside sub-specialty research in cardiac electrophysiology. Reflecting his dedication to clinical research and education, he holds an appointment as an Honorary Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Glasgow. He has also contributed significantly to leadership within his field, having served as President of the British Heart Rhythm Society and as a Trustee of the Arrhythmia Alliance.
