Facing the possibility of lung cancer was terrifying, yet from our first meeting he inspired confidence, trust and hope. His knowledge and expertise are evident, but what truly sets him apart is the kindness, patience and genuine care he shows his patients. Every question was answered thoroughly, no matter how small. He never made me feel rushed and always took the time to explain things in a way that was easy to understand. Throughout the entire process I felt listened to, respected and reassured. I first met Mr Petrine after being diagnosed with lung cancer. The meeting was to discuss the way forward and options available to me. The choices were surgery, chemotherapy and immunotherapy. From the beginning Mr Petrine was very honest with me and highlighted the pros and cons of each option due to pre existing health conditions. Surgery had certain risks involved, but Mr Petrini gave me the confidence to decide that I wanted surgery. Six days after meeting Mr Petrini I had the surgery and I am pleased to say due to his impeccable skills the operation was a great success. After surgery Mr Petrini contacted my wife with updates and she was also able to have direct contact with him if there was any concerns that may have arisen during my recovery. I have no hesitation to highly recommend Mr Petrini.

Mr Patrini is not only an excellent surgeon, but also an excellent and sympathetic communicator who really went out of his way to support and explain at all stages of my diagnosis and treatment -- at one point even calling me while he was abroad on holiday.
