Dr Collette Thomson is a highly qualified Consultant Plastic Surgeon who provides comprehensive reconstructive and plastic surgical care. Dedicated to achieving the best possible functional and aesthetic outcomes for her patients, she combines meticulous surgical technique with a compassionate, patient-centred approach. Dr Thomson works closely with individuals and families to deliver tailored treatment plans that restore form, mobility, and confidence.

Her clinical practice encompasses a broad range of reconstructive procedures, with sub-speciality expertise in hand surgery, paediatric plastic surgery, and skin cancer surgery. Dr Thomson possesses a dedicated focus in managing complex conditions, including congenital hand differences, vascular malformations, and soft tissue trauma. She regularly carries out advanced reconstructive techniques to treat skin tumours and repair delicate hand and wrist structures, aiming to maximise long-term recovery and quality of life.

Dr Thomson completed her medical degree (MBChB) at the University of Manchester before undertaking extensive specialist training in Plastic Surgery across the North East and East of England regions. She subsequently earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair from Cardiff University, attained Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery (FRCS Plast), and holds a Diploma in Hand Surgery. She maintains active professional memberships with the Royal College of Surgeons, the British Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the Kid's Hand Forum.
