Dr Claire Parkes

Dr. Claire Parkes is a highly experienced Chartered Clinical Psychologist specialising in adult mental health, with a focus on both recent-onset and long-term needs. With over 15 years at Nightingale Hospital, she has developed extensive expertise in treating anxiety disorders, trauma and PTSD, depression, burnout, low self-esteem, and post-natal depression. 

In addition to her work at Nightingale, she has served as a consultant clinical psychologist in a prestigious Harley Street medical centre and held senior NHS roles, including Lead Clinical Psychologist for the Community Mental Health Team at The Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, support for inpatients at Camden and Islington NHS Trust, and work in a secure unit in Yorkshire for patients with addiction. She also led the assessment and treatment of staff with PTSD as the Lead Clinical Psychologist at London Underground.

Dr. Parkes has been delivering telepsychology since 2016, offering remote consultations in the UK and abroad, and collaborates with solicitors in personal injury and medical negligence cases. Her approach is collaborative and person-centred, involving thorough assessments, clear formulations, and bespoke therapy plans that draw on schema-based psychotherapy, CBT, and mindfulness, supplemented by training in resilience, positive psychology, and wellness. She is particularly interested in trauma, cross-cultural issues, and identity, with a special focus on third culture experiences.
