My first appointment with Dr Paul was fast as I was seen on the 2WW referral, the apt was thorough, Dr Paul went through my medical history, my medications, and tests were carried out to determine if there was something suspicious at the back of my nose, I was extensively reassured that that if it was anything, it was simply just a harmless cyst, that would require no further treatment, a scan was ordered to be safe, my scan was looked over by the radiologist and Dr Paul, it turned out to be absolutely nothing and just extra tissue in the nasal cavity, Dr Paul personally called me to inform and reassure me of the findings, and confirmed a letter would follow in the post, my appointment experience with Dr Paul and her assistant nurse Hassan was a positive experience, as a female it is nice to see a female doctor who just understands, Dr Paul is exceptional in her field and I felt reassured and exceptionally well cared for from my first appointment, she is a real credit to her department and the NHS as a whole.
She was really lovely and helpful with explaining everything clearly and ensuring any/all questions were answered thoroughly. I did feel like she didn't quite deal with my daughter as a child, considering she is a children's specialist (i think?) I would have expected things to be done a bit slower and explained beforehand in a way my child could understand. It can be scary being sat in a big chair, being prodded and poked, not knowing what is going on. However, she clearly knew what she was talking about and was kind and patient with me.
Ms Paul is always very clear in her explanations to me as a parent, and so patient with my son. She has a very clear understand of his Autistic profile and there is never any pressure on him to communicate, and any examinations are done swiftly (which works best for him). When explaining the procedure he will need Ms Paul was clear in her descriptions and set clear expectations. She took my son’s Autism into consideration when talking about the procedure at this appointment (and previous appointments). It’s been a breath of fresh air to have such a considerate doctor supporting us.
Ms Paul was very friendly. She answered all the questions we had, explained everything thoroughly. And was honest with her opinion on next steps.
Lovely consultant, always listened to both me and my child, very reassuring and has helped our son with his condition and he is finally able to breathe through his nose after his op. Thank you!
Fully explained what my problem was, sorted quickly and efficiently.
S Paul was supremely professional, , extremely clear with her explanations, skilled and efficient with her checks and assessments yet warm and reassuring, answering all questions clearly.
Polite, symoathetic attitude to her patuent, extremely attentive to the history and details of my symptoms, excellent physical examination of her patient, clear explanation of possibilities for future treatment and outcomes.
Excellent Ms Paul, was kind, caring & knowledgeable. Offering quick treatment to our infant son. Ms Paul went above and beyond to help us, something I know she will do for any patient. She is a great clinician offering patients (and parents) a sensible approach to difficult decisions about care. I highly recommend her.
Ciba is a valued colleague and an excellent Otolaryngologist
