Ms Ciara Stevenson

Ms Ciara Stevenson is a highly regarded Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in knee and trauma surgery. She offers comprehensive, patient-centred care for a wide range of joint conditions and sports injuries, combining advanced surgical techniques with an evidence-based approach to treatment. Ms Stevenson earned her medical degree from Queen's University Belfast in 2006 and completed her specialist higher surgical training in trauma and orthopaedic surgery in 2016. To further refine her expertise, she completed two prestigious international sub-specialty fellowships. The first fellowship was undertaken in Brisbane, Australia, focusing on sports knee injuries and joint replacement surgery. She then completed a second fellowship in the United Kingdom, specialising in meniscal transplantation and cartilage repair techniques. She holds Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons and maintains active memberships with professional organisations, including the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Association for Surgery of the Knee, the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy, and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.

Ms Stevenson performs primary total knee replacement, unicondylar partial knee replacement, and complex knee realignment procedures, such as osteotomy. She possesses specialised skill in complex ligament reconstructions, including anterior cruciate ligament, posterior cruciate ligament, and medial patellofemoral ligament surgeries, as well as multi-ligament knee reconstruction following traumatic dislocation. In addition, her scope of care includes meniscal repair, meniscal allograft transplantation, cartilage restoration, and knee arthroscopy.

Alongside her clinical practice, Ms Stevenson is actively involved in orthopaedic research and surgical education.
