About Mr Chris Down
Mr Chris Down is a Consultant Urologist with a specialist focus on urinary tract stone disease and minimally invasive urological surgery. He has a subspecialist interest in endourology, with particular expertise in the diagnosis and management of urinary tract stone disease and advanced techniques for stone removal and prevention. He also has a strong interest in benign prostatic enlargement and Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP).
Mr Down studied medicine at King’s College London School of Medicine, where he graduated with a distinction in Clinical Practice. His interest in urology developed during a fellowship at the Urology Department at Guy’s Hospital. He subsequently completed higher surgical training across Kent, Surrey and Sussex, gaining experience in all aspects of urology.
His professional memberships include the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the British Association of Urological Surgeons, the BAUS Section of Endourology and the European Association of Urology.
