Dr Christine Edwards

Dr Christine Edwards is a dedicated Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who provides compassionate and comprehensive care across women's reproductive health. Serving as a Clinical Lead in her field, Dr Edwards supports patients throughout every stage of pregnancy and childbirth, alongside delivering specialised outpatient and inpatient gynaecological services. Her patient-centred approach ensures that women receive evidence-based care tailored to their individual medical needs and personal preferences.

In her clinical practice, Dr Edwards possesses extensive expertise in both routine and high-risk maternity care, including antenatal care and support during labour. Her gynaecological work encompasses general gynaecology and outpatient hysteroscopy. Additionally, she maintains a dedicated focus on global women's health, holding a special clinical interest in international maternal health initiatives as well as the prevention and repair of genital tract fistulae.

Dr Edwards completed her primary medical qualifications, earning her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1985. She expanded her clinical expertise by completing a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (DTM&H). Demonstrating her ongoing commitment to medical excellence and professional standards, she is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG).
