About Dr Chris Skene

Dr Skene qualified in medicine from the University of Edinburgh Medical School in 1997 and went on to complete a PhD at University College London. During a long NHS career, he has held a wide range of senior clinical roles, contributed to the development of cardiac rhythm management services, and performed life-saving procedures for thousands of patients.
He now practises in the private sector, providing personalised, comprehensive care for patients with both common and complex heart rhythm conditions. Dr Skene listened to my explanation of the problems that I was experiencing and showed genuine concern about how this was affecting my health and well-being. His manner left me feeling listened to and cared for.
I visited Dr Chris Skene at The Alexander Hospital after been referred to him with SVT and needing a Cardiac Ablation of which Dr Skene specialises in. From the offset I was made to feel at ease and everything was explained in a manner that I completely understood. From my initial visit to him through to the procedure was very quick and faultless. Whilst at The Alexander everything was explained to me the procedure and what to expect in the Theatre by Dr Skene himself. The procedure itself was successful and Dr Skene took the time to visit me afterwards and explain how it all went. When your experiencing a health scare to have a Dr who puts you at ease really does help.
Dr Skene was very pleasant and reassuring. He took lots of time to explain matters in detail and answer my questions.
