About Mr Bardeep Rana
Mr. Bardeep Rana is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip surgery, with particular expertise in hip replacement and the management of hip arthritis. He graduated from the University of Bombay and completed his higher surgical training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in the West of Scotland. I was admitted to Gartnavel Hospital on Wed 24th Sept for a left hip replacement. From the minute I arrived, I was cared for with the upmost respect and dignity. All nursing staff from Ward 4C were amazing and I can’t thank Mr Rana enough for carrying out my operation. Thanks also to Martin from Physio for getting me up and mobile.

I Mr. Rana put me at ease from my first meeting with him. He explained clearly what would happen throughout my operation and also what would be entailed in the recovery period.
Mr Rana was very attentive throughout. Took time to explain procedure in advance and answer all our questions. He visited me a couple of times post op to check on my progress and again was very attentive. I had a need to call the hospital on a Sunday evening a couple of weeks later - query was immediately passed on to Mr Rana who then called me personally to discuss. Experience at my 6 week review was also very good. Very happy with Mr Rana and the service he and the hospital offered and would be happy to recommend both.

All staff were excellent in their care and professionalism. Everything was explained, and if I had any questions or concerns, these were addressed with patience and understanding.Staff went out of their way to help any way they could.
I felt very comfortable sharing my concerns with Mr Rana. He was able to allay any fears I had about the future condition, and I felt reassured that he would be happy to consult with me again should my condition worsen.
Mr Rana introduced himself and explained the pros and cons of the operation. He examined me and explained what he was doing clearly.
I've been seeing Mr rana for 23 years he is very good at what he does &very understanding to what the patient s problems are first class
