Dr Jamal earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of the Punjab in 1987. He subsequently pursued advanced postgraduate training, gaining Membership of the College of Physicians and Surgeons (MCPS) in Pakistan in 1993 and achieving Membership of the Faculty of Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MFD RCS Ireland) in 2001. After completing the UK Statutory Examination in 2002, he qualified to practise in the United Kingdom, maintaining professional alignment with esteemed dental governing bodies.
