Dr. Ashutosh Kothari

Dr. Ashutosh Kothari is an internationally recognised Consultant Breast Surgeon and Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon who specialises in the comprehensive management of both benign and malignant breast conditions. Serving as a Clinical Lead and Chair of a multidisciplinary breast care team, he focuses on advanced surgical oncology, onco-aesthetic breast conservation, and full reconstructive procedures. Dr. Kothari is dedicated to delivering personalised, patient-centred care, ensuring that every individual receives compassionate support alongside tailored diagnostic and surgical interventions.

In his clinical practice, Dr. Kothari offers a complete spectrum of surgical solutions designed to achieve optimal oncological safety alongside aesthetic harmony. His areas of expertise encompass oncoplastic breast conservation surgery, immediate whole and partial breast reconstruction, prepectoral implant reconstruction, and nipple-sparing mastectomy. He maintains a distinct sub-specialty interest in familial breast cancer, hereditary risk assessment, and breast cancer in young women. Additionally, Dr. Kothari introduced innovative techniques such as LYMPHA surgery for lymphoedema prevention and helped establish rapid-access one-stop assessment services to streamline patient pathways and expedite diagnosis.

Dr. Kothari completed his super-speciality training in Surgical Oncology at leading cancer institutions in India, followed by advanced super-speciality training in Breast Cancer, Oncoplastic, and Reconstructive Breast Surgery in the United Kingdom. His professional qualifications include European board certification in Breast Surgery (CEBS) and European super-speciality certification in Breast Surgery and General Surgical Oncology (FEBS). An active academic and educator, he serves as a Senior Lecturer, Vice-Chair of the Education and Training Committee for the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO), and a Board Member of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) Breast Examination Board.
