Dr Arun Ramachandran

Dr Arun Ramachandran is a highly accomplished Consultant Paediatrician and Consultant Neonatologist who provides dedicated care for newborn babies, infants, and young children. Specialising in neonatal medicine, he focuses on delivering compassionate and comprehensive medical support to vulnerable infants, including preterm babies and newborns requiring complex clinical monitoring. Dr Ramachandran is deeply committed to ensuring that young patients receive safe, high-quality, and evidence-based care while supporting parents and families through every stage of their child's healthcare journey.

In his clinical practice, Dr Ramachandran possesses extensive expertise in neonatal intensive care, clinical risk management, and the management of neonatal conditions such as hyperbilirubinaemia. He adopts a holistic approach to child health, emphasising early intervention, neurodevelopmental outcomes, and quality improvement across paediatric services. Alongside his direct patient care, Dr Ramachandran plays a leading role in medical education and healthcare research, contributing actively to training schemes and mentoring medical students and junior doctors.

Dr Ramachandran completed his primary medical training (MBBS) followed by an advanced postgraduate qualification (MD). He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) and holds membership with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH), reflecting his high standard of clinical expertise and commitment to professional standards. Additionally, he holds the academic title of Honorary Professor, demonstrating his ongoing involvement in medical education, curriculum development, and clinical research.
