About Dr. Anusha Hennedige
Dr. Anusha Hennedige is a Consultant in Craniofacial and Maxillofacial Surgery, dual-qualified in Medicine and Dentistry, with specialist expertise in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. She currently practices at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Aintree University Hospitals, where her work covers both adult and paediatric patients with complex conditions of the head, face, jaws, and neck.
Dr. Hennedige completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) at the University of Edinburgh in 2005, followed by Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Aberdeen and achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2014 and 2019 respectively. In 2021, she completed a Craniofacial Fellowship at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, further advancing her expertise in paediatric and craniofacial surgery.
Her clinical practice includes craniofacial reconstruction, maxillofacial trauma management, facial aesthetic procedures, and the treatment of congenital and acquired conditions. In addition to her surgical work, Dr. Hennedige has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications, with research interests spanning craniofacial surgery, paediatric maxillofacial surgery, airway management, and facial aesthetics.
