Dr Anu Kamalasanan

Dr Anu Kamalasanan is a Consultant Radiologist specialising in paediatric and head and neck (ENT) diagnostic imaging. She completed her undergraduate medical degree (MBBS) in 2005. Following her core medical training, she initially gained extensive clinical experience in ear, nose, and throat surgery, attaining a Diploma in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (DOHNS) in 2011 and Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS ENT) in 2013.

Transitioning into clinical radiology, Dr Kamalasanan completed subspecialty radiology training within the East of Scotland clinical radiology scheme, obtaining Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2017. She serves as an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Glasgow Medical School and holds an NHS Consultant appointment at University Hospital Hairmyres (NHS Lanarkshire).

In her current clinical practice, Dr Kamalasanan provides diagnostic interpretation across cross-sectional and projectional modalities, including X-rays, Computed Tomography (CT), and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), alongside targeted diagnostic and interventional ultrasound scans. Her clinical expertise covers head and neck, thyroid, and soft tissue imaging, ultrasound-guided fine needle aspirations (FNA), and general paediatric diagnostic ultrasound.
