Dr Anne Gaunt

Dr Anne Gaunt is a Consultant General Surgeon who specialises in colorectal surgery and general surgical conditions. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based surgical care tailored to the individual needs of each patient. Dr Gaunt guides patients through comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, individualised treatment planning, and supportive post-operative care, ensuring that individuals feel reassured and well-informed at every step of their medical journey.

With expertise in modern surgical techniques, Dr Gaunt manages a broad range of benign and malignant gastrointestinal conditions. Her areas of clinical interest include bowel cancer management, pelvic floor disorders, and inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. She offers advanced minimally invasive procedures, including robotic surgery and transanal endoscopic microsurgery, which aim to minimise surgical trauma, lower post-operative discomfort, and promote faster recovery times for her patients.

Dr Gaunt earned her primary medical degree, MB BCh with Honours, in 2001. She subsequently undertook postgraduate research and obtained a Doctorate (PhD) in 2017. Dr Gaunt achieved her Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in 2018. To keep her practice aligned with the latest clinical developments and surgical standards, she maintains active membership in professional bodies such as the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland.
