Dr Anna Seale

Dr Anna Seale is an accomplished Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist and Foetal Cardiologist specialising in the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and clinical management of congenital heart conditions in unborn babies, infants, and children. Dedicated to delivering precise and reassuring care, Dr Seale focuses on early prenatal detection and advanced cardiac imaging, supporting families through complex cardiac diagnoses with empathy and clarity. Her expertise encompasses structural heart defects, foetal heart abnormalities, and the ongoing coordination of specialist care for young cardiac patients.

Dr Seale completed her medical education at the University of Cambridge, graduating with her primary medical degree in 1994. After undertaking general paediatric training, she completed specialist higher training in paediatric cardiology, earning her Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in 2006. She was subsequently awarded a research Doctorate of Medicine (MD) from the University of Cambridge for her clinical investigation into pulmonary vein stenosis and congenital heart disease. Dr Seale further advanced her expertise through a dedicated fellowship in paediatric cardiac imaging and foetal echocardiography. She is a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) and holds professional certification with the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI).

In her clinical practice, Dr Seale is deeply involved in diagnostic cardiac imaging, including advanced foetal echocardiography, cross-sectional echocardiography, and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Her clinical interests include prenatally diagnosed vascular rings, right aortic arch abnormalities, transposition of the great arteries, pulmonary vein stenosis, and single ventricle heart conditions. Alongside her clinical duties, Dr Seale actively contributes to academic research and clinical education, aiming to improve long-term outcomes and diagnostic standards for children with congenital heart conditions.
