Mr Ankur Mukherjee

Mr Ankur Mukherjee is a dedicated Consultant Urological Surgeon with expertise in general urology and urological oncology. He provides comprehensive diagnostic assessments and tailored care plans for patients presenting with a wide range of urological conditions, including prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney stones, and benign prostate disorders. Mr Mukherjee completed his medical degree (MBChB) alongside a First-Class Honours intercalated Bachelor of Medical Science (BMedSci) at the University of Dundee. He subsequently undertook core surgical and higher urological training across competitive rotation programmes in the United Kingdom. He earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Research from Newcastle University, was awarded the Shear's Northern Research Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Urology, FRCS (Urol). To further refine his specialist technique, he completed a prestigious post-CCT fellowship in robotic urological surgery at a high-volume pelvic cancer centre, training in advanced procedures such as Complete Urethral Preservation during robotic prostatectomy.

In clinical practice, Mr Mukherjee treats conditions affecting the urinary tract and male reproductive system, including urinary tract infections, haematuria, lower urinary tract symptoms, erectile dysfunction, and scrotal or testicular pain. His expertise encompasses a comprehensive range of surgical and endoscopic procedures, such as diagnostic and therapeutic cystoscopy, bladder biopsy, transurethral resection of bladder tumours, stone fragmentation using laser techniques, circumcision, vasectomy, and urodynamic assessments.
