Dr Andrew Cope

Dr Andrew Cope is an esteemed Consultant Rheumatologist who provides expert care for patients living with complex autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. With a patient-centred approach, he aims to deliver accurate early diagnoses and personalised management plans that help individuals retain mobility, alleviate pain, and improve their overall quality of life. His clinical work combines compassionate care with the latest evidence-based developments in rheumatological medicine.

Dr Cope specialises in the assessment and treatment of inflammatory joint disorders, including rheumatoid arthritis and early inflammatory arthritis. His clinical interest extends to a broad spectrum of autoimmune conditions, systemic connective tissue diseases, and inflammatory spinal conditions. He is particularly dedicated to advancing therapeutic strategies such as biologic therapies, targeted disease-modifying treatments, and early interception approaches aimed at achieving sustained disease remission.

Dr Cope completed his medical education at the University of London, graduating with First Class Honours alongside a Bachelor of Science degree. Following general internal medicine training, he completed specialist clinical training in Rheumatology and earned a Doctorate in Cytokine Biology. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians.
