Dr. Anand Velusamy

Dr. Anand Velusamy is a Consultant Endocrinologist at Guy's and St. Thomas Hospital and his private practice is based at HCA London Bridge/Shard. His specialist areas of interest include: Thyroid disorders (overactive and underactive thyroid, goitre, thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer), adrenal, pituitary, bone health and calcium disorders, male and female reproductive pathologies (hypogonadism, erectile dysfunction, amenorrhoea, PCOS), Neuroendocrine tumours, hypertension, metabolic syndrome and weight management and other miscellaneous endocrine conditions. He also has expertise in managing type 2 diabetes and complications and has presented his work at the annual American diabetes conference.

Dr Velusamy graduated in medicine (MBBS) in 2002 and completed his specialist training in Endocrinology and diabetes / General and internal medicine at the London deanery in 2015. He has Membership of the Royal college of Physicians - MRCP (UK) and also holds professional memberships with the British, European and American endocrine societies where he makes regular annual contributions of his specialist work. In addition, he is a part of the southeast London thyroid cancer network and has several publications of his clinical and research work in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
