Dr. Alessandra Cocca

Dr. Alessandra Cocca is a highly qualified Consultant in Paediatric Endocrinology and Bone Disorders, specialising in comprehensive care for infants, children, and young adults. As a dedicated Paediatrician, Dr. Cocca provides compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to the individual physical and developmental needs of young patients. Her practice encompasses a wide spectrum of paediatric endocrine conditions and metabolic bone disorders, ensuring families receive clear guidance and thorough clinical management.

In her clinical practice, Dr. Cocca focuses on the assessment and management of complex bone and hormonal conditions. Her sub-specialties and areas of clinical interest include skeletal dysplasia, achondroplasia, rickets, osteoporosis, hypercalcaemia, hypocalcaemia, and phosphate-related conditions such as X-linked hypophosphatemia. Additionally, she manages endocrine conditions including short stature, delayed or precocious puberty, thyroid disease, adrenal insufficiency, and Klinefelter syndrome. To evaluate and manage these conditions effectively, Dr. Cocca routinely performs and interprets specialised diagnostic procedures, including growth hormone stimulation tests, luteinising hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) tests, short synacthen tests, oral glucose tolerance tests, water deprivation tests, and fast provocation tests.

Dr. Cocca completed her Bachelor in Medicine at the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli in 2010, where she subsequently completed her specialist paediatric training in 2017.
