Dr Ales Praznikar is an accomplished Consultant Neurologist specialising in neurorehabilitation and complex neurological care. He provides comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic care for patients presenting with a wide range of neurological disorders, brain injuries, and progressive neurodegenerative conditions. Dr Praznikar earned his medical degree from the University of Ljubljana before completing extensive postgraduate specialist training across the United States, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. He holds dual specialist licences in Neurology and Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine. A respected figure in international medical communities, Dr Praznikar is a former Director of the International Alliance for ALS/MND and holds active professional memberships with the European Academy of Neurology, serving on its Scientific Panels for Neurorehabilitation and Neuropathic Pain.

Throughout his career, Dr Praznikar has held senior clinical leadership positions, including roles as Medical Director, Clinical Lead, and Head of Neurorehabilitation Services. His clinical expertise encompasses traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, post-stroke recovery, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, motor neurone disease, and neuropathic pain evaluation.
