Dr Vijay Nar

Dr Vijay Nar is a Consultant Neurologist with clinical interests in acute neurological disorders, headaches, neuro-ophthalmology, epilepsy, and neuromuscular and peripheral nerve disorders. His practice also includes the diagnosis and treatment of dementia, migraine and headaches, movement disorders, Parkinson’s disease and seizures.

Dr Nar qualified from the University of East Anglia Medical School and completed his specialist neurology training at University Hospital Southampton, St George’s Hospital in London and King’s College Hospital in London. He also holds a BSc in Biomedical Sciences and an MSc in Biomedical Sciences Research, alongside postgraduate qualifications including MRCP and the Specialty Certificate Examination in Neurology.

During his career, he was one of the lead clinicians involved in the first NHS England pilot for a Hyper Acute Neurology Unit. He also has an interest in medical education, including teaching medical students and providing educational outreach for primary care physicians.

Dr Nar is a member of the Association of British Neurologists, South East England Neurology Association, Royal College of Physicians and European Academy of Neurology.
